Words of Christ Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to remind people of the fact that while Christ was here among us on this Earth, he taught what is needed to go to Heaven. He taught that just believing in him isn't enough, but that your treatment of others, can determine your destiny after you leave this life.

Too many of the churches in the U.S. forget the teachings of Jesus, and focus only on the teachings of the Old Testament and the letters of Paul, but if you're going to name a religion after someone, their teaching should be included within it's doctrine...

One interesting thing to consider, is the fact that while the teachings of the Old Testament consisted of the "Thou shalt nots", the teachings of Jesus consisted of the things that you need to do if you want to go to Heaven.

They were teaching of values, that seem to have been forgotten in these modern times.

For instance he taught that you can not serve God and money.

It seems that Creflo Dollar, Joel Olsteen, Robert Tilton, and the rest of the "prosperity gospel"televangelists out there, completely forgot that teaching.

I've always believed that if your minister wears a suit that cost more than you make in a month, and lives in a compound, he isn't a man of God, he's a man of Gold.

Christ was adamant about the fact that we have no right to judge or condemn each other. He was equally strict about the need to forgive. without forgiving, there can't be forgiveness.

Luke 6: 37 is probably the very best example of these that I've found in the Bible.

Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven.

Far too many people, and the churches that they attend are quick to judge, and equally quick to condemn, though slow to forgive.

It's as though they just haven't gotten around to reading the teachings of Jesus yet. Or perhaps those teachings just don't support their prejudices and hatreds, that they aren't yet willing to surrender. Whatever the reasons, if they don't follow the teachings of Christ, how can they really be Christians?
In Matthew 25: 31-46 Jesus pretty much details what you must do if you want to go to Heaven.

31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy[a] angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did itto one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
44 “Then they also will answer Him,[b] saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
It's pretty clear what Jesus is stating in these verses. He's stating that however you're treating anyone "to the least of these", is the way you're treating him.

If you let someone go hungry, you're letting Christ go hungry.

If you let someone be cold, living on the street, you're doing that to Christ.

If you're indiferent to someone, you're being indifferent to Christ.

If you are cruel to someone, you've been cruel to Christ.

If you strike someone or beat them, you've just done that to Christ.

However, when you saw that man or woman by the side of the road, and your heart was moved to pity. you reached into your pocket and gave them a few dollars, though you had little to spare for yourself, you were truly serving God and Jesus, and it's was Christ, as well as that poor person, who accepted that money with gratitude, and a blessing.

Remember that kindness and compassion, are always a service to the Lord, and generosity is always a virtue that Christ honors and blesses...
